A senior official of the Ministry of Commerce said that the Cambodia Trade e-market (Cambodia Trade) is set to launch in late July or early August. The launch of the e-market is to facilitate the sale of Cambodian goods and products to domestic and foreign buyers.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Sam Heng Bora, said at the closing ceremony of a workshop on the procedure for registration of online marketplace that the purpose of the e-market is to promote the sale and business of small and medium sized Cambodian enterprises in the national and international market. he also hopes that all enterprises would join the Ministry in expanding domestic e-commerce activities and increasing Cambodian exports. They are also aiming for business with the international markets in order to increase national income and growth of the national economy.
The plan is supported by several business owners. Others are enthusiastic about the potential and opportunities that the e-market will provide.
